The triple lumen umbilical catheter is used for short term catheterization through the umbilical vein when a multiple access is needed.
It is used for TPN administration, & injection of drugs, particularly administration of drugs with incompatible features or when one drug needs to be infused continually at a slow rate (ex. inotropes).
This device allows to reduce the number of peripheral routes needed and so the number of insertions, optimising the infant's comfort.
The secondary functions of the catheter are blood sampling, transfusion and measurement of central venous pressure.
The catheter is made of radiopaque polyurethane (PUR) with markings every centimer. It is equipped with a soft green distal tip to reduce the trauma to the vessel. It has three extension lines with three color-coded hubs to better identify each lumen.

Cafneon 40mg Injection is a prescription medicine used in the treatment of apnea (a disorder in which breathing repeatedly stops and starts) of prematurity. It facilitates normal breathing and reduces interrupted breathing in premature newborns.
Cafneon 40mg Injection is given under the supervision of healthcare professionals. Remember, if you are breastfeeding while your infant is treated with this medicine, then do not drink coffee or take any other high caffeine product as this passes into breast milk.
Some common side effects of this medicine include mild delirium, insomnia, frequent urge to urinate, dehydration, tachycardia, and fever. Consult your doctor if these do not go away or persist for a longer duration. They may be able to suggest ways to prevent or reduce the side effects
Bore: 2.1 mm

Octopus 3 with Bionector is a polyurethane, transparent, supple multi-lumen extension tube for IV catheters (peripheral or central venous).
To identify the different infusion lines, each line has a hub or a clamp of a different colour.
It allows to connect to the catheter several independant IV lines.
Code 841.364 is a triple lumen extension tube with 3 Bionector and 3 clamps (green, orange and white).
Length of tubes: 10 cm / 10 cm / 10 cm
Code 842.312 is a triple lumen extension tube with 3 non-return valves, 3 Bionector and 3 clamps (white, green, orange).
Length of tubes: 6 cm / 6 cm / 6 cm
Code 842.311 is a triple lumen extension tube with 2 non-return valves, 3 Bionector and 3 clamps (white, green, orange). The end without non-return valve allows the blood sampling.
Length of tubes: 6 cm / 6 cm / 6 cm
Used for central venous catheter care, Octopus 3 has the following advantages:
Provides a closed and disinfectable system with needle-free access
Eliminates the need to use a 3-way tap to run 2 or more simultaneous compatible solutions
Eliminates the risk of blood spillage
Eliminates the risk of air embolism
PUR material (no PVC, no DEHP - no release of softeners)
Non-return valves avoid reflux of fluids or drugs beyond the valve during multiple infusions.
Bionector can be disinfected with most of the antiseptic solutions (example: 70% alcohol). Avoid using antiseptic containing both alcohol and hydrogen peroxide.
For more information about Bionector, please refer to the technical datasheet code 896.
Octopus with Bionector are also available with 1 lumen (code 5222.014), 2 lumen (codes 841.232/24/264/266E - 842.209), 4 lumen (code 842.414) and 5 lumen (code 842.514).
Code 807.504: Lipid-Filter
Neonatal/Paediatric 1.2 micrometer filter for lipid administration
24-hour air-eliminating filter, filtration of TPN solutions and retention of air, bacterial contaminants, and particulate matter.
Priming volume: 0.8ml, Flow rate: 90ml/min.
Code 807.506: Lipid-Filter
Neonatal/Paediatric 1.2 micrometer filter with extension line, for lipid administration
Triple-layer extension tube (PVC/EVA/PE) colour coded blue with a 24-hour air-eliminating filter, filtration of TPN solutions and retention of air, bacterial contaminants, and particulate matter.
Priming volume: 2.3ml, Flow rate: 7ml/min, Length of extension tube: 150cm.
Another lipidic filter is available under the code 836.207:
Code 836.207: Ready-set

Nutriline Twinflo is a 2Fr polyurethane double lumen central venous catheter for premature babies and neonates inserted in a peripheral vein (basilic, cephalic, saphena...).
It is particularly recommended for medium and long-term IV therapies (up to 4 weeks) and for the simultaneous administration of incompatible drugs.
Nutriline Twinflo is inserted through a 20G peelable plastic cannula (Microflash), the needle of which features a lateral eye to quickly visualize blood reflux after successful cannulation of the vein. The peelable cannula is totally removed after catheter placement.
For the stabilization of the catheter, Nutriline Twinflo is supplied with Grip-Lok device with hypoallergenic adhesive specially designed for Neonates.
A measuring tape is supplied for the user to measure the length of catheter to insert from the puncture site to the lower third of the superior vena cava.
